A masters degree in communication is designed to help students refine and develop communicating skills. Graduates in the field of communications often pursue careers in public relations, media, advertising, marketing, sales, journalism, broadcasting and other areas.
When you receive your Master in Communication degree, you will have effective skills in written and verbal communicating. You will know how to conduct effective research, and have good analytical skills. You will know how to deal with conflict and how to evaluate certain conditions when communicating.
Once you have the proper training, you may wish to work as a writer or an editor. You also may wish to work as a business consultant. Perhaps you already work in the sales industry, and wish to be a sales manager.
There is a need for writers in many fields of industry, and a degree in this way can be a good way to qualify. You may choose to write about political issues or issues with the health industry. Public and Media relations is another option to consider.
These kinds of jobs do not usually involve manual labor. Also they usually provide pleasant environments to work in. Many people may keep normal business hours, but it will depend on what kind of position you have.

Income for this job market varies a great deal, For example, writers and editors can work in many capacities, yet a graduate degree will make it easier to find employment. The average wage for this position is $65,000 annually, but can be significantly higher in some areas of work.
Sales manager jobs may pay as low as $30,000 annually. Yet those with graduate degrees should earn much more. Those working in the professional or commercial field should earn more than $80,000 a year.
Jobs in sales management may grow at about 5%, the next decade. Writing and editing jobs should see an average growth rate. However, competition for top jobs in sales and writing may be fierce in the future.
